My Name is Rekha Thapa, it’s been seven years when my husband married another woman and left me alone with my three years son. I moved to Kathmandu with my son and was trying to survive and supporting for my son’s school expense by working on construction labor works. Three years ago, I met Sabina Chamling (RS Nepal Executive Director), she helped me to involve in a single women group. I got an opportunity to receive support to expand my small shop from Revolving Fund support program of RS Nepal. It helped me a lot. Now, I am able to earn and repay my old debt too. Nowadays, I have been taking Sewing and Stitching Training with the support of RS Nepal under its ‘Skill Development Program’. After completion of this training course, I have a plan to run own tailoring shop in future. I am thankful to RS Nepal.
